About me

Many people come to therapy feeling unsure whether what they’ve been through is “bad enough” to deserve support. You might apologise for talking about yourself, laugh things off, or tell yourself you should be coping better by now — even while carrying experiences that still affect your sleep, your body, or how you feel about yourself.

I work with adults who have lived with trauma for a long time and are ready to gently face the past, at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

Who I work with

I support adults — often in midlife — who have spent years putting others first and are now realising how much they’ve neglected their own needs. Many of my clients are parents themselves and carry complex feelings about their own upbringing, estrangement, or emotionally unavailable relationships.

You may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, self-blaming, or unsure where to begin. You might cope by using humour, staying busy, or pushing things down. Therapy can offer a space where you don’t have to do that alone anymore.

How I work

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and gently paced. I don’t believe in quick fixes or rigid formulas. Instead, I focus on creating a calm, human space where you can begin to feel safe enough to be honest.

Alongside talking, I may offer creative or inner-child approaches if that feels helpful. This can support parts of you that learned to stay quiet, cope alone, or grow up too quickly. You don’t need to be creative or know what you’re doing — everything is optional, collaborative, and guided by what feels right for you.

There is room here for both laughter and tears.

What therapy might feel like

Sessions are led by you and your needs. Some weeks may feel reflective and quiet; others may involve offloading things you’ve carried for years. We can slow things down when needed and take things one step at a time.

You won’t be analysed, judged, or pushed. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences and begin to rebuild self-esteem, trust, and a kinder relationship with yourself.

This may be a good fit if you…

   •   Carry long-held trauma and tend to minimise your pain

   •   Are open to a deeper, longer-term therapeutic process

   •   Want a therapist who feels human, grounded, and emotionally present

   •   Are curious about creative or inner-child work, even if you feel unsure

This work may be less suitable if you’re looking for immediate solutions or expect therapy to provide answers without emotional involvement.

Taking the next step

Reaching out can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to managing on your own. You’re welcome to contact me to ask questions or see whether this feels like the right fit for you. There’s no pressure — just an opportunity to take a gentle first step towards support.
