About me

I’m Jude, a registered counsellor, working with individuals and specialising in couples therapy based in Buckhurst Hill. I offer face-to-face and Online therapy.

I practise with a variety of ways of working, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and creative techniques, offering a safe, confidential space to enable you to bring whatever it may be that is causing you concern. I am an empathic, compassionate therapist who will actively listen to you without judging.

I work with clients from 12 through to older adults with a wide variety of issues included but not limited to:

  • Couples therapy
  • Relationship counselling
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Anxiety, depression and anger
  • Issues of identity and managing transitions in life
  • Neurodiversity

Why therapy?

The thought of talking to a friend or loved-one about your problems might feel like a burden. Sometimes there just isn’t anyone to talk to that you feel will understand, or care about, what you're going through. That’s where I come in. I can be that person to give you the support you need to create the changes you want to see.

Depending on what issue/s you bring to the sessions, we can decide together your preferred way of working. In our initial phone call we will look at your reasons for seeking counselling, and we decide whether we can work together in meeting your expectations.

How to get in touch

Please take that step and either email me or call on 07887530532 to arrange an initial phone chat.

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.” (Lisa Olivera)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
