About me

Some of these thoughts and questions may have been on your mind. I invite you to not scroll past or move on to the next counsellor just yet but stop and see if any of these areas connect with you.

Trauma- Have you had a tough childhood? And are you feeling the impact of this now? We can journey through your personal history, at your pace.

Parents- are you a parent who is struggling in your role, feeling overwhelmed, tired, struggling to manage your children’s behaviours? Do you need a space  to talk about your own worries and concerns? You can come and say how you feel without worry.

Domestic Abuse- are you in an abusive situation now or have you been?  Do you need support in spotting the signs of coercive control? Are you looking to understand your experiences and ensure relationships are healthy in the future? You could experience safety and acceptance in our sessions.

Young Adult- Are you over 18 years, feeling alone, struggling to make friends, feeling low or, anxious, looking for tools and strategies to help alleviate some of these feelings? You have the right to be seen and heard and you could experience that in session.

Sport- are you an elite footballer, over 18 years and looking for a confidential space to share how you feel? Are you in a tough environment, a lonely one, a pressurised one and talking to anyone feels risky? Our session could be your safe space.

Faith- are you looking for a counsellor who will be sensitive to your faith perspective, allowing you space to talk without shame or fear? Your faith doesn’t need to be kept hidden in our sessions.

If it’s a yes or even a maybe to any of these questions then I wonder if we could work together?. We could make a start by having a short conversation to see if we are a fit for each other.

AI has a lot of answers but there is nothing like sitting with another person, saying what you think, getting honest feedback and support and help for the future.

Let's work together to turn things around-one step at a time!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
