About me
Have you spent time focusing on you? Looking after yourself and being kind to yourself?
Sometimes life can get too much, managing multiple demands, finding a work-life balance and making time for ourselves.
How can I help?
If you are feeling this way, working with me may support you to explore the life that you want, recognise your strengths, notice small signs of improvement and when things are better.
What to expect?
A warm, accepting environment, a space to explore things for yourself, to be listened to and taken seriously, to talk about what is important to you at the pace that is right for you.
Who are you?
My name is Joyti and I work using a Person-Centred approach. This means I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space which focuses on you and your story. You are the expert on your life. To support this, I work in a solution-focused way. This means I help clients work towards change by finding out what their best hopes are, understanding what solutions are already working and noticing your strengths.
My approach
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist (which means I can adapt and integrate any approaches that are best suited to the client). This means I am flexible in my approach. I mainly integrate the person-centred approach with solution-focused techniques. I am also interested in compassion-focused therapy, which aims to help explore how to be kind and compassionate towards yourself.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
