About me
Hello. I am a accredited, Leeds based Integrative Psychotherapist/Counsellor & Supervisor, with 15 year of experience in the field. This means I am not restricted to working in one particular way. So I will adapt the way I work with you to suit you. I work short and long term with adults (18+) in a holistic way, from a humanistic and relational perspective. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, space to pause and reflect on your reasons for choosing to enter therapy, whilst working collaboratively with you toward your hopes for your future self
When you contact me, we will arrange to meet for an initial assessment. This will give you time to share your story and discuss how we might work together. We can then decide if I am the right therapist for you. If we choose to work together we will discuss and sign a contract that outlines how we have chosen to move forward.
Our time together will start from where you find yourself; respecting that you are coping in the best way you can under difficult circumstances. We will sensitively explore your embodied feelings and thoughts about your presenting issues. This collaborative process might help you to gain new perspectives and form fresh insights that facilitate alternative ways of being that feel appropriate for you.
We can work together for as long as you feel it is necessary to work through your issues.
I’m also a supervisor, experienced in, and currently working with university trainee therapists, qualified therapists and fellow supervisors, face to face and online.
I'm trained in the practice of supervision, with an emphasis upon Hawkins & Shohet’s 7 eyed model and informed by the 9 eyed, anti-oppression model. This is complimentary to my core Integrative therapy training; a relational, psychodynamic approach, from a humanistic perspective. However, I also work with mental healthcare professionals from different modalities.
I offer a non-judgemental way of working as ally rather than expert. I value both of us are not only bringing a wealth of personal and professional knowledge and experience into supervision but we are learning from each other too. This is consistent with my philosophical underpinnings; Martin Buber’s concepts I-Thou/It, Inclusion. I find the latter facilitates that shared curiosity, essential for purposeful, collaborative, meaning making and fosters a working alliance built upon mutual respect and trust. This mode of being within supervision is live and co-created, thus a distillation of our, not just your and/or your clients personal resources.
My role as supervisor is also informed by over a decade of embodied learning as a Yoga Teacher, alongside Polyvagal Theory. I find this synthesis can offer supervision an expansive richness and somatic anchor, when embodied information might be indicative of something [un/sub] consciously playing out between your client, you and me.
I believe given a safe enough space, support and at times encouragement, as well as challenge, the appropriate path forward for you within your work with your clients, will emerge.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
