About me
Hello, I hope that you will soon feel OK. My take on distress, rage, fear, anxiety, detachment; personality disorders, dissociation and psychosis? I see all of these as reactions, as a very normal human response to life events. I believe that every single one of us has their own limit and once that has been reached, our mental suffering can be almost unbearable.
My role as a therapist is to provide you with sanctuary; some time and space in which you can feel safe enough to look at whatever is going on in your life, and begin to make sense from what might feel too messed up, too wrong. If you need to bring other people in with you for support, or to help you tell your story, that's fine. Therapy is a confidential conversation, but you are in control of how much or how little you wish to say. As we talk I will do my best to respond without judgment or jargon, and please rest assures - I don't shock easily. Instead I will do my best to hear and reflect your understanding, so that the picture becomes clearer and you can begin to see and understand how you wish your life to be. My aim is to help you to find hope, as we focus on what makes your life better for you.
Sometimes it is a relationship that is causing pain. I don't work with couples as a counsellor, but when a problem is between you and someone else, you might find conflict resolution more helpful. For instance, if things have become difficult either with a partner, or within your family, or with a friend; but everyone involved wishes that they could sort things out. Conflict resolution is a way to have a safe conversation about the things that need to be said - and to find ways to deal with problems.
Please contact me if you think this could be more useful for you.
Note:
I aim to reply to you within three days, but quite often emails go into spam or junk, so if you haven't heard from me after three days please check.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I also work with victims of spiritual abuse, and therapy abuse. These are situations in which the victim often feels powerless and to blame. Both of these types of abuse can cause deep emotional or psychological trauma. Understanding that you have experienced coercive control, and that you are not to blame, is the first step towards recovery.

Additional information
- Counselling.
- Our first session will be online and this costs £10.0
- I charge £50 for a face to face session.
- My reduced fee is for online sessions only and this costs £30.
- Conflict resolution - There are two stages:
- £50 per person for the initial stage.
- £300 for the joint meeting.
Counselling: Our first conversation costs £10 and will be online. I'd simply ask that you read the terms and conditions of counselling before we begin to talk, and agree to them when we begin the initial session. If you continue to work with me, all sessions either online or fact to face will cost £50.
Conflict resolution: Two steps.
- I meet each person involved in the dispute online individually for about an hour, and then, after talking to everyone involved I will decide if I think that the conflict is something I can help with.
- If we are all in agreement to continue, we will meet up face to face and this next stage moves conflict into a collaborative process of negotiation.
- Often people find that having the opportunity to be honest, and to hear honesty really helps them to make some changes, and to understand what is going wrong.

Further information
Face to face therapy takes place in Bromsgrove, close to the High street. There is a pay and display car park directly opposite the building. But our first session will be online (£10), then all sessions after that will cost £50.
How many sessions, and how often you wish to attend is your choice.
As a therapist I have a special interest in spiritual abuse.
And as a mediator, I have a special interest in conflict resolution, especially between clients and therapists.
Mediation costs £50 per person for the initial stage. This is an individual session online for each person involved in the conflict, followed by a face to face joint meeting that might take up to five hours. This costs £300. If the case isn't resolved, but both parties feel that an agreement is possible, another face to face session will be booked and the cost will be £100.
