About me
Hi, I'm Jonathan, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with clinical experience working in adult mental health within a range of clinical settings including the NHS, higher education and private practice.
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist as well as a Londoner from a multi-lingual, mixed heritage background and believe strongly in the importance of inclusive practice across the board.
I offer an empathic and non-judgmental space and I am passionate about helping people build emotional resilience and raise self-awareness to allow individuals to reconnect to their values and sense of purpose.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my doctoral training at City, University of London in Counselling Psychology.
I have worked with a wide range of emotional, psychological and relationship difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma and interpersonal difficulties. I am trained in therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, (CBT) Psychodynamic, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I believe in tailoring the therapy to meet the needs of each individual person.
I have a particular interest in the field of addiction and developmental trauma and have explored this both in my clinical and research work.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
