About me

Do you have issues, dilemmas or situations that you are struggling to deal with or come to terms with? I use a Person centred approach to counselling and life coaching. I have dealt with a wide range of difficult issues,  having counselled many individuals looking to overcome their problems of the past and present, and build a much more fulfilling life.  I am fully aware from 1st hand experience, of how issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, addiction, low self-esteem and confidence and what caused them, can have a debilitating impact on your life. With me you will have a confidential, safe and empathetic space. You will be truly listened to in a genuine and completely non-judgmental way. I will show you that you are the expert on yourself and you have the inherent ability to resolve, address and overcome your problems without being pressured.

Get in touch with me either by phone or email for an informal chat to see if YOU are happy for us to work TOGETHER and after this I can offer you an initial session. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have as I want to make you feel as comfortable as possible . By doing this I hope that you will gain a clearer understanding of what counselling is and hopefully feel more reassured that we can work together. We would usually have weekly sessions however we can adapt according to your needs and we would conduct regular reviews to see how you feel you are progressing.

I offer Face to Face , Online, Telephone sessions and Walking therapy (further details on this will be explained on initial contact). I look forward to hearing from you either by phone or e-mail.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
