Jon Henderson PG Dip TA Practice (Psychotherapy)
I offer a safe, confidential and professional space for you to explore your reasons for coming into counselling. I offer long and short term work, depending on what brings you to therapy and what you want to achieve.
My relationship with clients is a working alliance in which I am alongside you, as you work through your thoughts and feelings. I work very openly with my clients and have clear stated goals that we both understand and are working towards.
At the heart of practice I offer a safe place for you to say the unsayable and think and feel differently and decide upon what changes you want to make to your life, without judgement or criticism. A place to test out your thinking and express your feelings and hear yourself say out loud what you really want to say, perhaps for the very first time.
I am a trained and qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapy Practitioner and I offer my private practice from two locations:
The first is Hassocks, West Sussex, where I work from the Heeler Centre. The location is well placed for clients in Brighton, Hove, Horsham, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, Lewes as well as surrounding villages like Ditchling, Plumpton and Hurstpierpoint.
The second location is located at the MIND premises in Sevenoaks, Kent where I am an Associate Counsellor with West Kent Mind, the mental health charity. I am also a bereavement counsellor at The Martlets Hospice in Hove and St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley.
I offer early morning and evening sessions to suit those who need flexibility around their working hours.
My first session is offered at a reduced fee of £25. The purpose of the session is for you to be check that you will feel comfortable with me and the space where we will be working. It s also for me to be sure that I have the skills that you need in me and if not I will refer you to a colleague who I think may be able to meet you needs.
All subsequent sessions are £50 for 50 minutes
