I run a small and warm counselling practice in south London, I practice from a pleasant and pretty garden space counselling room, which lends itself to a peaceful environment, which clients find conducive to the relaxing space they need to feel comfortable.
I have lived experience of many of the issues my clients struggle with, these lived experiences prompted me to become a qualified and registered counsellor, and a member of the federation of drugs and alcohol professionals or (FDAP), also a registered member of the MBACP. I am also an accredited counselling supervisor currently working with many other therapists, this has enabled me to provide a safe place for clients to explore their own issues without judgment. I have 23 years experience working with people on a journey. these include many who struggle with addiction, I work with relationships with family members, or relationships outside of the family unit, as well as clients just trying to get to know themselves a little better or perhaps understand a situation they may be dealing with at the moment.
Areas of counselling I've worked with include; Gambling Addiction substance misuse, trauma.these are just a few of the many areas i have covered in my long career. I believe that one's experience of these issues are unique and very personal and my method of working fully reflects this philosophy.
Whatever the problem, I aim to encourage a sense of empowerment during my client's exploration. Establishing trust, respect and warmth is key to successful therapy.
Some people look for just a couple of sessions to 'get things off their chest' and gain a fresh perspective on their life, whilst others want to take more time to come to terms with the events from their past before looking to their future.
Ring 07790 339517 or email to set up an initial session and we will discuss what you need from counselling.
If your happy to continue, we will then set up a second session weekly or fortnightly and so begins your journey.

For many years I worked with a homeless charity helping homeless people refocus and regain their lives from many of life's challenges,13 years ago I was responsible for setting up a project for the homeless, this project was to be an engagement tool to help motivate and encourage clients to believe in themselves and address the issues they had that stopped them from moving on with ther lives. At present I work with a multi disciplinary team within a specialist private treatment centre for people with addiction issues as an addiction therapist but much of my work, experience and training is generic meaning I work with many other issues that clients present.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
