About me

I’m a humanistic counsellor based in Brighton, offering both in-person and online counselling for those looking for support that feels real, grounded, and without judgment. Sometimes life just doesn’t make sense. You might feel stuck in the same patterns, lost in uncertainty, or weighed down by emotions that are hard to untangle. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or a general sense that something isn’t quite right. Whatever’s brought you here, counselling can offer the space to slow down, reflect, and find a way forward.

Therapy isn’t about having all the answers - it’s about giving yourself permission to explore the questions. My approach is open, conversational, and centred on the relationship we build together. I don’t sit back in silence or analyse from a distance. Instead, I offer a space where you can be fully yourself - without pressure, expectation, or the need to edit your thoughts.

Some people come to therapy knowing exactly what they want to talk about. Others just have a feeling that something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start. Both are okay. However it looks for you, we’ll go at your pace, working together to make sense of things in a way that feels right. If you’re looking for counselling in Brighton or online and want to see if we’d be a good fit, feel free to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the University of Chichester, where I earned my Diploma of Higher Education in Humanistic Counselling. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of clients, supporting them through issues like depression, bereavement, anxiety, divorce, low self-esteem and relationship concerns.

Many of my clients have struggled with motivation, feeling lost, burnout, or are uncertain about their future. My aim is to help you explore these feelings in a safe, supportive space and work towards finding clarity and a renewed sense of direction.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
