About me

At Counselling Hub NI, I provide specialised counselling services tailored to address addiction and related mental health issues. I offer personalised support to help individuals navigate their challenges and achieve their goals.

Clients may want better control in their lives or achieve existential change. I am committed to creating a safe, non judgemental and supportive environment for my clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, leading to positive change and growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

One of the key advantages I can bring is that I am both a fully qualified therapist (MBACP), but I also have lived experience in recovery. I have a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction and are equipped with the knowledge, tools and skills to help clients navigate through their own challenging journey.

The personalised approach offered in my counselling ensures that clients receive care that is tailored to their specific needs and circumstances and goals. Some people may want to try to have a better relationship with alcohol, gambling or technology, others may want to try to control it and some people may be ready to stop altogether. My customised treatment plans are designed to address not only the addiction itself but also the underlying issues that may contribute to it.

Clients who seek mental health counselling with me can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where they can openly discuss their struggles and work towards positive changes. Clients can develop coping strategies, build resilience, and ultimately overcome their addiction. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, consider reaching out to me. Taking the first step towards seeking help is often the hardest, but it can lead to a journey of healing and self-discovery.

Remember, you are not alone and there is a solution!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
