About me
I am a qualified CBT and EMDR therapist, and I work with both adults and children. I offer therapy both virtual and face-to-face.
I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, for both adults and children, including Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, Panic Disorder and Separation Anxiety.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience
I am a qualified Mental Health Nurse, CBT Therapist and EMDR Therapist and I have been working in mental health settings for 9 years. After qualifying as a nurse, I worked on a children’s inpatient ward. Following this, I completed my CBT and EMDR training and I worked with young people and families in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), before becoming a lecturer and supervisor on the CBT course at Reading University.

The models I work with
In my therapeutic work, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
I am also trained in DNAV (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Adolescents) and DBT skills, which I can bring into sessions dependant on individual needs.

Member organisations

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
