About me

My name is Joanne and I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Group Work Therapist. I offer a range of services including online counselling, online CBT and telephone counselling to help you on your journey to mental wellness.

I am a skilled, warm and empathetic practitioner with a keen interest in personal development in the field of CBT and all modalities of psychotherapy.

I pride myself on the relationships I build with my clients which forms the basis of the work we are able to achieve together. Whether through telephone counselling or online sessions, I work collaboratively in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to achieve this.

My goal is to help create a healing and empowering therapeutic environment that nurtures personal growth and well-being.

I am experienced in delivering high-quality, protocol-based interventions in line with the DSM-V and NICE Guidelines. As a member of Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BABCP), I work within this ethical framework to ensure the best care for my clients. Whether you seek online CBT or psychotherapy, I provide support tailored to your needs.

I specialise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, social anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, trauma, phobia and PTSD. Additionally, I have specialist training and experience in working with baby loss, survivors of childhood sexual abuse and the armed forces community. Whether you need telephone counselling or prefer online sessions, I am here to support you.

I believe that therapy, via telephone or online, is a gift that everyone should experience to heal, grow and become the best version of themselves. I support this by helping clients understand the influence of their past experiences and creating new ways of thinking and being. This, in turn, paves the way to shape the future they want to live.

It was through my own therapeutic journey that I decided to embark upon this journey in becoming a therapist. I am passionate about providing the same life-changing experience for my clients.

Help is at hand if you are willing to take the first step and reach out for support. You do not need to struggle alone. Whether you choose online counselling, online CBT, or telephone counselling, together we will get there. Reach out today to start your journey with a skilled and compassionate CBT therapist who understands your needs.
