About me
I am a Relate practicing Counsellor. My experience has been gained through working with Relate, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (Cahms) and in Sure Start Centres. This experience has enabled me to work confidently and successfully with individuals, couples and families with many complex relationship Issues. Frequent problems that i see in my counselling practice, include communication issues, some couples through the counselling process beginning for the first time to understand each other and what they need from their relationship. Other difficulties include relationship endings; affairs, internet betrayal, intimacy issues and family issues.
I am also a qualified Occupational Therapist with 25 years experience. A key part of this role is enabling and empowering patients with chronic health problems and disabilities to achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence. These are skills that i also incorporate into my counselling work. Enabling and empowering you to overcome your problems.
I can offer you a safe, comfortable and supportive space in which to explore your relationship issues and process your thoughts about them. In doing this, it can help you to look at your relationships from a different perspective, enabling you to find solutions to these problems. The service that I provide is professional and confidential.
I understand that it can sometimes feel like you are on your own when the problems you are experiencing feel so overwhelming. I can assure you, you are not alone. If you feel, that I may be able to support you through your current relationship issues, then please do give me a call or drop me an email.
Accessing support is the first step in the counselling process.
