I give clients the time to explore, reflect and learn new ways to manage their emotional wellbeing in a way that feels helpful and sustainable as they move forward through the different stages of their lives. I prioritise developing of a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard and validated.
As a therapist I work flexibly and creatively, providing a safe and comfortable environment, allowing clients to express themselves freely. I offer a warm and welcoming space where trust and respect are paramount. I welcome clients’ uniqueness and am always sensitive and curious to the specific needs of those I am working with.
I work with clients who are experiencing a whole range of anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem and those who have experienced trauma in their lives. Drawing on mindfulness, compassion focused and acceptance and commitment therapy. I work in a way and at a pace that works for each individual, allowing clients to process life experiences and feel equipped and empowering to manage their emotional wellbeing in a helpful way.
I offer both short and long-term therapy for adults, both in person and remotely to allow you to access support that meets your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT) and Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I completed my CBT training at Royal Holloway University whilst working in an NHS setting in London. My EMDR training was completed with Richman EMSR training also in London. I previously worked for several years within the NHS as a CBT therapist in Hammersmith and Fulham before joining The Therapy Practice London based in the East Village of the Olympic Park in Stratford, working privately offering CBT and EMDR to a range of individuals with a variety of difficulties. I have now moved back to Nottingham and am offering therapy locally.
