About me

Hi I’m Jo and a very warm welcome to my page. You have probably clicked here because you are going through a difficult time or have certain things in your life that are troubling you? I’m a qualified counsellor based in Didsbury and I help people who struggle with low self-esteem and negative thinking to realise their worth and become true to themselves.

I know how debilitating self doubt and not feeling good enough can feel and how it can destroy our self esteem and confidence in all areas of our life. I've been there. And I know how powerful counselling can be.

Do you...

Feel like you're never good enough no matter how many compliments others pay you or how well you are doing?

Pretend everything is 'fine' and you are confident on the outside, but inside is a different story of anxiety, self doubt and self criticism?

Beat yourself up constantly and set impossibly high standards for yourself?

Struggle with a challenging relationship with a critical parent?

Try to please others and worry constantly what people think of you?

Would you like to...

Quieten the negative voice running through your head?

Increase your self esteem and reduce anxiety and overwhelm?

Make decisions that are right for you and not others?

Understand more about how past experiences have shaped current feelings and behaviours?

Find your voice again and be heard?

Feel empowered to live a more authentic and fulfilled life?

If any of this sounds familiar and you’re tired of constantly ‘putting on a brave face’, then I may be the counsellor for you. Please contact me for a free, no obligation 15 minute chat so we can see how I could help you. Please reach out - It's OK to not be OK. And I'd love to help.
