About me
Hello and welcome to my profile. I’m Jill. A BACP qualified, compassionate therapist offering in person counselling and psychotherapy from a welcoming and accessible space in Glasgow city centre.
A therapeutic relationship anchored in trust, connection and open exchanges can help you feel grounded in yourself and make space for healing and change. I care deeply about the relationship we will build. I have extensive experience working in the third sector. And it was witnessing, through this work, how counselling and connection can transform peoples' experiences that drew me to train as a therapist.
I work with clients who seek therapy for many different reasons including anxiety, depression, feelings of hopelessness, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, addiction, family dynamics, chronic health conditions, brain injury and abuse. As humans, it’s our individual thoughts and experiences that shape the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. And I’m committed to offering a supportive and nurturing space where you feel safe to freely share whatever it is that brings you to therapy.
What you explore will always be your choice. Our work together will respond to what you need and at the pace that’s right for you. I will be alongside you, hearing you without judgement, seeing you with kindness and your world from your perspective.
I believe, alongside the therapist that’s right for you, we all have capacity to find our best way towards understanding what we need, to accept or repair difficult and traumatic experiences, and to change.
You may be very clear about what you want from therapy, or only that you need help navigating life right now. I’d love to hear from you and to arrange a free 20-minute Zoom or phone call to meet, explore how I can help and if you’d like to work with me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
