About me

Sometimes we know exactly why we are looking for therapy. At other times, we simply know that something doesn't feel right.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low, or stuck. You might be experiencing difficulties in your relationships or family, going through loss or change, struggling with self-esteem, or trying to make sense of past experiences. You don't need to know exactly what you want to work on before coming to therapy, we can begin from wherever you are.

I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, talk openly and explore what is happening for you. I work integratively, which means I adapt the way we work to you, rather than following one fixed approach.

As an artist as well as a counsellor, I can also offer creative ways of exploring your experiences. Sometimes an image, colour, metaphor, drawing or piece of clay can help us express something that is difficult to put into words. There is no pressure to use art and no artistic experience is needed, talking can always remain at the centre of our sessions.

I see therapy as something we create together. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to listen, be curious alongside you, and support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and finding your own way forward.

I welcome adults of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and experiences. I offer counselling in English and French, face-to-face in West London and online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) in London, completing an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts, followed by further training in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy.

My training is integrative and draws on person-centred, attachment, psychodynamic, Gestalt, somatic and trauma-informed ways of working. This allows me to consider the whole person - including emotions, relationships, past experiences, the body and what may be happening in the present.

I have experience providing one-to-one counselling to adults in organisational and community settings, working with a range of emotional, relational and life difficulties. I also have experience facilitating creative wellbeing groups and workshops.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked for many years as a designer and artist. This background naturally informs my practice and my interest in how creativity can offer another way of understanding and expressing our experiences.

I continue to develop my practice through regular clinical supervision, CPD and reflective practice, and work within the ethical standards of my professional membership bodies.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
