About me
Hi, I’m Jen.
I am fully qualified psychotherapist and an advanced Trauma practitioner. I specialise in historic and later-life trauma, anxiety and panic attacks, hormonal and menopausal changes and late diagnosed Neurodivergence such as Autism and ADHD.
I work with a wide range of people and issues, but I have a special interest in supporting adults with late-diagnosed autism and ADHD, as well as people who are beginning to question whether they may be neurodivergent. Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience to my work, which gives me a deep understanding of the complexity, relief, grief, confusion, and overwhelm that can come with discovering your neurodivergence later in life.
I also have experience working with trauma and complex PTSD, and I often see a significant overlap between trauma responses and the experiences of autistic and ADHD individuals. Many of the people I work with have spent years coping, masking, pushing through, and adapting to environments that were never designed with their needs in mind - until eventually the “wheels come off.”
I support people at all stages of the journey:
- people who are questioning whether they may be autistic or ADHD
- those waiting for assessment
- those who have recently received a diagnosis and don’t know what comes next
What you might be experiencing:
Often, clients come to me experiencing anxiety, burnout, exhaustion, overwhelm, or a growing sense that life has become unmanageable. For many people, becoming aware of masking changes everything. Strategies that once helped them survive social situations, work, relationships, or daily life suddenly stop working. Social interactions can become more draining, work harder to sustain, and the effort required to keep everything together can feel impossible.
Working with parents
I also work closely with parents of neurodivergent children, many of whom are beginning to recognise similar traits in themselves. These parents are often balancing increasing responsibilities, declining energy, and the loss of external support structures as children grow older and systems like school support begin to fall away.
Working with young people
I also support young adults transitioning out of highly structured environments such as university into workplaces and adult life, where support and scaffolding can suddenly become very limited.
So what is next?
My aim is to help people reconnect with their authentic neurodivergent self. Bring back the joy and energy that also comes with neurodiversity. Rather than encouraging people to change who they are to fit the world around them, I support them to understand their needs, reduce shame, build sustainable ways of living, and create lives that genuinely work for them.
I offer a safe, welcoming space that is entirely dedicated to you and your wellbeing.
Please do get in touch if you would like to find out more about how I can support you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
