About me

I’m an integrative therapist, passionate about the healing power of human connection, offering a therapeutic space where you can be heard without judgement. I work with people from all backgrounds, each bringing their own story and challenges.

I believe that in the right conditions and with the necessary support people can draw on their own internal resources and capacity for growth. The therapeutic relationship offers a consistent compassionate space in which you can explore your experiences safely.

My approach blends humanistic and psychodynamic ideas. We’ll explore how you experience life, the environment around you, and if helpful, the impact of past relationships or events. The aim of our time together is to enhance self-awareness and understanding about yourself, your relationships, emotional responses, thought processes and behaviours. You will develop a deeper understanding of the factors impacting your experience and over time, a more meaningful, grounded way of being with yourself and others and greater sense of control in your life.

In addition, the relationship we build together can itself be healing - a safe space where new ways of relating and understanding yourself can gently take shape.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a fully-qualified counsellor, I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) member, and abide by their code of ethics.

I have experience working with both children and young people, and adults, dealing with a wide variety of mental health concerns and life issues. Currently, I am working only with over 18's in my private practice.

My qualifications are listed below:

  • CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills
  • CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies
  • BSc (Hons) Counselling

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake additional training to support my work. This has included CPD in areas such as the manosphere, grief, domestic abuse, suicide and self-harm and working with race and racial identities. Continuing to develop my knowledge and awareness helps me offer a thoughtful, informed, and responsive therapeutic space.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
