Eden Healing Therapy

About me

Hi, I’m Jen and welcome to my profile.

Are you, or your teenager, struggling with unwanted thoughts or difficult emotions? You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but it can also be the first step towards meaningful change.

I am a qualified counsellor working with both young people and adults. I specialise in supporting mental wellbeing, including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement & loss, and relationship difficulties. I also have a particular focus on counselling young people, supporting them with concerns such as anger, family issues, friendship difficulties, school-related stress, communication challenges, and emotional regulation.

Often, we hope that problems will resolve themselves with time. While it can be tempting to push difficult thoughts and feelings aside as a short-term coping strategy, unresolved issues often resurface. This can be our mind’s way of signalling that something needs attention. Therapy offers a space to explore these experiences safely and to work through them in a supportive and constructive way.

By becoming more aware of our thought patterns, emotions, and behaviours, we can begin to understand what is driving our difficulties and develop healthier ways of coping. Through tailored therapeutic support, you can gain insight, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Therapy can support you by:

  • Providing a safe, confidential space to explore your concerns away from the pressures of daily life.
  • Creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship focused on positive change.
  • Offering a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental environment.
  • Supporting you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
  • Introducing practical strategies and techniques to help manage difficulties through personalised therapy plans.
  • If you would like to find out more or arrange an appointment, please feel free to get in touch. My therapy room in Eccleshall is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. Further information about my counselling practice can be found at www.edenhealingtherapy.com.

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest, but as Albert Einstein said:
“Nothing happens until something moves.”

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
