About me

Hi, I'm Jen and I'm a counsellor/CBT Therapist helping clients with bereavement and loss, anxiety, and depression.  I'm currently working online, on the telephone, and limited face to face appointments in Peebles, Scottish Borders.

Are things just feeling out of kilter? Know something needs to change? Are you unsure what the right support is for your needs? Are you feeling anxious or low mood? Have you lost someone? Has your confidence dropped? In a year like no other, more than ever we need to focus on our mental health and wellbeing and invest in ourselves. The beauty of my practice is recognising your individualisation and tailoring how I can help with your needs through a holistic approach encompassing counselling, CBT and wellbeing. We're people, we don't fit into one neat little box! With me you'll have a warm, confidential and safe space to talk.

The last few years I've helped the majority of my clients with bereavement, loss and profound change, anxiety (General Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, stress) and depression and low mood. I've supported men and women of all ages but perhaps you should know I'm a peri-menopausal woman, so I can appreciate the rollercoaster that women 40+ are experiencing both mentally and physically. I get it!

I hope I've given you enough of a flavour of my approach, specialities, experience and of me as a human being not just a counsellor. In order for you to be sure you want to work with me I offer a free 20 minute consultation so you can then decide if you want to go ahead. I look forward to speaking with you.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
