About me

Hi, I am Jayne, I am an experienced Couples Counsellor. I have been working with couples and individuals for over 15 years. During that time, I have successfully helped my clients learn how to emotionally connect again, understand argument loops and how to stop them, get over an affair learn to trust again and to heal wounds from the past so they don't trigger in their current relationships.

My aim is to offer you time to understand your relationship dynamic for a more wholesome relationship. I use specific therapeutic tools to uncover the underlying cause and therefore promote healing between you.

How do I do this?

My approach is non-judgemental and we focus on where problems may originate and triggers that cause the behaviour. I use a variety of techniques to explore this, but ultimately work with you both and use what works for you. These tools help us have a deeper understanding of what may be playing out but ultimately how to fix it.

I have also helped my clients to...

  • Change entrenched behaviour, roles that are played out, unconscious drives
  • Sex therapy
  • Managing separation
  • Anger management

Tell me how you are feeling? What is going on?

Sometimes I am a containing space for words unspoken that need to be said, finding compromise or a solution by offering the right environment, or a teacher to change behaviour and lifestyle. A place to discuss the children. Perhaps a healer to understand the past and to forge a stronger bond than before, most couples like making sense of it all in a few sessions and learning new skills to take away.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
