About me
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may find yourself carrying stress, anxiety, low mood, grief, or emotional pressure while trying to keep going on the surface. Over time, pushing feelings down or facing difficulties alone can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, confused, or stuck.
Reaching out for support is not weakness — it’s often the beginning of positive change.
I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about what you’re experiencing at your own pace. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and person-centred, meaning our work together is focused around you as an individual — your experiences, your needs, and what feels right for your life. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, not clinical or pressured.
Together, we can explore the challenges you’re facing, gain a deeper understanding of patterns or emotions that may be affecting you, and begin finding practical ways forward that help you feel more balanced, grounded, and secure within yourself.
I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting. Many people worry about opening up or being judged. My role is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely heard throughout the process. I aim to create an environment where you can talk honestly without pressure or expectation.
The Next Step
Choosing to begin counselling takes courage, and simply being here may already be a sign that part of you is ready for change. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes the first step is simply having the space to talk.
During our initial session, we’ll discuss what’s bringing you to counselling, explore what you hope to gain from therapy, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. It’s important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose, so this first session also allows us to see whether we’re a good fit to work together.
If you decide to continue, sessions are open-ended and tailored around your individual needs. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others prefer longer-term work. You are free to choose what feels most appropriate for you, whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, short-term, or ongoing sessions.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
