About me
Open Day – 10th May at Naturality Wellness Centre, Berkhamsted
You’re welcome to come along, meet me, ask questions, and see the counselling space in a relaxed, no-pressure way.
Hello.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure where to start — and reaching out for support can feel like a big step. You don’t need to have the right words or explain everything straight away. You might feel like you’re expected to open up immediately, or talk about things that are painful or hard to name. In our work together, there is no pressure to share everything all at once, or even at all. We can go at your pace, focusing on what feels safe, or even just the feelings around something that’s difficult to put into words.
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor (MBACP), offering in-person therapy in Berkhamsted, with some online availability. I see you as the expert in your own life, and I work alongside you to help you make sense of your experiences, untangle thoughts and feelings, and find a way forward that feels right for you, or support you in finding acceptance where things feel stuck or cannot be changed.
My approach is straightforward and open. If I feel something may be helpful to say, I will say it, always with care. I aim to be actively engaged in sessions, using reflection, questions, and where helpful, tools such as grounding techniques, psychoeducation, or even diagrams to help us think things through together. We can also work with goals if that feels useful, regularly checking in to make sure you’re getting what you need from therapy. Clients often come away with a clearer understanding of themselves, feeling less alone, and more able to move forward — something I find really meaningful to witness.
I have experience working across a range of settings including private practice, NHS-linked services, charities, schools, and my current work within an Employee Assistance Programme. I have supported people with anxiety, trauma, low confidence, low mood, relationship difficulties, burnout, menopause, and life transitions, as well as those in crisis or navigating complex situations.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand the experience of living in a world that isn’t always designed with you in mind. You won’t need to educate me, and I aim to offer a space that feels comfortable and adaptable, whether that’s adjusting communication style, being mindful of sensory needs (lighting, seat placement ect), or simply working in a way that fits how you think and process.
I also work well with clients who may not have considered therapy before, including men who might find the process unfamiliar or uncomfortable. I aim to meet you where you are, without assumptions, and work in a way that feels accessible and grounded.
I offer both short-term and longer-term work, and you don’t need to have a clear goal to begin. If you’d like to get a sense of whether I’m the right fit, I offer an initial call where we can talk things through.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and be heard. Life can be overwhelming, and counselling gives you a chance to pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of things in a safe environment.
My approach is humanistic and integrative, which means I don’t believe in “one size fits all.” I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. Sometimes that might mean exploring patterns in relationships, sometimes focusing on the here-and-now, and other times finding practical tools you can use day-to-day.
What matters most is the relationship we build together — one based on respect, trust, and acceptance. I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll work alongside you to help you explore your experiences, develop insight, open up your options and/or figure out what's right for you.
I have worked extensively with both adults and young people, including neurodiverse clients, and I’m mindful that everyone’s experience of life is unique. I bring curiosity and openness to our work together, so that your own perspective shapes the direction of therapy.
I am a registered member of the BACP, and I offer counselling both in person in Watford and online.
