About me
I’m a Person-Centred counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive clinical experience, which grounds my very human, compassionate, and understanding approach.
I offer clients focus and time for short or longer-term work in a gentle, empathetic way while you work through your own personal growth.
I have sat in your shoes, being a client initially was my first step to sitting here today, so I do know how this early exploring feels. Uncertain, frightening, and confusing- that’s alright, it’s a beginning.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do or to give you advice, but to offer a safe, confidential, and accepting space where you can explore what is happening for you, at your own pace.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am trained in Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Counselling, and therefore bring a highly humanistic, compassionate, and relationship-based approach to my work. I also have an interest in family systems and addiction issues, having worked with many people experiencing this within their life.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of Professional ethics. What you share in therapy is treated with respect and confidentiality.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Sometimes we just know that we don't want to continue feeling the way we have been feeling. We are tired, feeling tired. That’s alright.
You don't have to arrive with everything worked out. We can begin wherever you are, and the time you need is at your pace.

What I can help with uncertainty in life, anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, bereavement, or loss.
Clients have begun with me not knowing who they are anymore, life feeling unmanageable with work, family difficulties, or addictions. Overwhelm is a common feeling in today's crazy world. This may be rooted in known traumas, neurodiversity, life-changing events, or simply from a growing sense that things just don't feel quite right.
We start from exactly where you are.
