About me
Welcome to Evolve Therapy, my name is Jane and I am an integrative counsellor psychotherapist. This means that I draw upon various techniques and theories to aid and support you through the therapeutic process. My aim is to establish an respectful and non judgemental environment where you feel safe and secure enabling you to explore and understand your concerns, issues and emotions, empowering you to find a way forward with choices that you feel are right for you.
I have a detailed understanding of the BACP professional conduct and ethical framework. With a sound knowledge of theoretical approaches and their application to the real-world settings; good ability to offer support and guidance with a special interest in Person Centred Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I charge £50.00 for a 50 minute counselling session. The initial consultation can take up to 90 minutes but is charged at the same price.

I studied at Worcester University for my degree in counselling and extended my training at Contemporary College of Therapeutic Studies in London to become an Integrative therapist enabling me to offer Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming. For most of my career I have worked in the education setting as a Pastoral and Safeguarding Manager, I have considerable experience of working with young people and the wider school community. I now offer private therapy sessions for individuals. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which means that I abide by their code of conduct and ethical guidelines. I am also a member of The General Hypnotherapy Register and Counselling Directory.
As a Counselling Psychotherapist, my aim is to assist and enable you to make decisions you feel are right for improving your sense of personal wellbeing and alleviating distress. I use various psychological theories and techniques to aid people in dealing with everyday problems associated with life events.
