About me
Are you finding life difficult right now? Life can be challenging, feel really tough. A therapist can help you by using empathy, great listening skills and have a deeper understanding of your difficulties. Therapy can give an insight as to what is really going on within you.
I am an experienced, BACP Senior Integrative Counsellor and can provide you with a high quality service which is tailored to your individual needs.
We will work together towards a positive way forward looking at what you might like to change and help you find balance in your life.
I have over 10 years experience working for the NHS in a clinical role. This then led to supporting individuals and families through various life experiences within the community. I feel privileged to have supported those individuals through difficult periods. I believe each person is unique and has the ability for growth and change.
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues and diagnosis including Relationship difficulties, family issues, bereavement, anxiety, depression, sudden loss, domestic abuse, ASC,ADHD, and many other presenting issues.
I offer counselling to both individuals & couples. I find working with Adults/Couples & Adolescents particularly rewarding & I have assisted many clients to make positive changes to their lives. I am keen to learn more about you. How do you view yourself? What keeps you awake at night? And what feelings do you have that makes life difficult?
In my couples work I use a structure which enables couples to gain an insight into their relationship they may not have considered before. It is possible to feel isolated and alone even when we are in a relationship & sometimes the relationship no longer feels like a partnership. Loss of connection may be caused by an event or may have eroded over time.
Couples therapy would focus on reconnection, positive communication & conflict resolution.
Couples have said that having an impartial professional has helped them to iron out their difficulties and that without this they would have continued to communicate in old unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
