About me

 About Me
I am a qualified and experienced integratively trained therapist with over six years of experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. My journey in therapy began working for the NHS, where I provided school counselling—a role I continue today in my private practice. I offer online therapy across the UK to adults, couples, and adolescents, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for those seeking support.

Before transitioning into therapy, I worked for the civil service for 20 years, a career that provided me with invaluable insight into the complexities of human relationships and workplace dynamics. Additionally, I have several years of experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, which has deepened my understanding of trauma and healing.

My specialisms include working with individuals struggling with low self-esteem, self-worth, anxiety, and depression. I also have extensive experience supporting clients facing relationship challenges—whether in romantic partnerships, family dynamics, or friendships. For couples, I offer guidance on a range of concerns, including poor communication and intimacy issues.

Having personally undertaken extensive therapy, both as a training requirement and for personal growth, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help. Often, people seek therapy at a time of deep distress, and I fully empathise with the anxiety that can arise when opening up to another person. I want you to know that there is no shame in seeking support. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you will be truly heard.

If you are considering therapy, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore your concerns and work towards meaningful change.

The Services I offer are:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Couples Therapy
  • Psychosexual Therapy
  • Adolescent Therapy

Individual Therapy

I understand that life can be difficult and isolating at times. Individuals can struggle with different issues throughout their lives and we feel that therapeutic space within counselling can be extremely valuable.

I will provide an environment for you to have the chance to work through personal issues, helping you gain greater awareness and insight and move towards a more integrated and connected self.

I may work with you to help you uncover patterns in your life that may be affecting your emotional and psychological growth.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy offers a supportive space for partners to explore challenges in their relationship, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection. Whether you're facing conflict, navigating a life transition, or simply looking to deepen your bond, therapy can help you understand each other more clearly and work toward shared goals. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your unique relationship dynamics, providing tools to manage differences and foster lasting change.

Psychosexual Therapy

Psychosexual therapy is a specialist form of talking therapy that supports individuals and couples in addressing sexual difficulties. It offers a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore concerns around desire, arousal, performance, intimacy, or sexual identity. Therapy is tailored to your unique experiences, helping you to understand underlying factors, develop confidence, and improve sexual wellbeing and relationships.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescent therapy provides a supportive and confidential space for young people to explore the challenges they may face during this stage of life. Whether it's anxiety, low mood, identity, relationships, or school-related stress, therapy helps teenagers develop resilience, self-understanding, and healthy coping strategies. Sessions are tailored to meet their individual needs in a safe and age-appropriate way

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
