About me

Hello - I am a qualified therapist with experience working with adults. I am a therapist who is committed to supporting your emotional wellbeing and development. I tailor our sessions to support your unique journey, providing a safe and supportive space to inspire growth, healing and transformation.

New therapy rooms in Canterbury, beautiful peaceful setting, central Canterbury.

I am committed to and value the process of therapeutic change and understand the importance of providing a safe space in which to explore and work on your issues. I feel that engaging within therapy should help to promote your journey to greater awareness of self and others. I believe that everybody has the ability to change and flourish given the right conditions.

The services I offer are:

I am currently also training as a psychosexual (sex) therapist working with a variety of issues including:

vaginismus, dyspareunia, erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation and sexual compulsion.

Individual Therapy

I understand that life can be difficult and isolating at times. Individuals can struggle with different issues throughout their lives and we feel that therapeutic space within counselling can be extremely valuable.

I will provide an environment for you to have the chance to work through personal issues, helping you gain greater awareness and insight and move towards a more integrated and connected self.

I may work with you to help you uncover patterns in you life that may be affecting your emotional and psychological growth.

Adolescents Therapy

Adolescence can be a time of huge change and challenge. We understand and respect that this can be a tumultuous time for both adolescents and their families.
Adolescents may require one to one support for help with varying issues which may include difficulties with:

  • stress and anxiety

  • issue around identity

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
