About me
Feeling lost? Broken? Confused? Anxious or Depressed? Without hope? Life not making sense? Need to talk? …. Someone to listen?
As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I offer a safe, confidential space to talk through your concerns with a trained professional. A place to heal, rebuild, restore, and become all you were meant to be.
Working from home in private practice, I provide Counselling & Psychotherapy for a range of issues, including: Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Despair, Difficulties after Abortion, Divorce, Grief, Low Self-Confidence/Low Self-Esteem, Loneliness, Loss, Miscarriage, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Pregnancy-related issues, Relationship problems, Sadness, Separation, Stillbirth, Stress, Trauma.
Having trained as an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist at Heartwood Institute of Counselling & Psychotherapy in Dartington, Devon, I believe each person to be uniquely individual, having differing thoughts, feelings and responses to various life experiences.
Working using integrative approaches and interventions from Gestalt theory, Person-Centred, Body Process, Inner Child and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Internal Family Systems (IFS), I endeavour to work with you according to your situation and needs, and also offer to work creatively (using a range of creative counselling resources), for those who would like to work in this way. I am currently (April 2024) in training for EMDR therapy.
As a qualified person-centred Supervisor, I provide Supervision for qualified/trainee Counsellors and other professionals.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work from home in a dedicated counselling room. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk through whatever is troubling you. I offer to work face to face, by telephone or online via Zoom video.
I offer compassion, sensitivity, respect and non-judgement within sessions, and believe no issue or problem is too small or trivial for counselling.
I appreciate it can take a lot of courage to start counselling, and even to make initial contact. It takes time to build up safety and trust within a therapeutic counselling relationship. If it's difficult to share or to put feelings into words, I also offer creative ways of working that may help you express your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-threatening way.
Although I provide counselling for a variety of issues, I have specific interest and experience in working with bereavement, loss, abuse and trauma.
