About me
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in anxious thoughts, or struggling to move on from something that still affects you.
Perhaps you've tried to cope on your own, but the same patterns keep returning - whether that's anxiety, low mood, or the impact of past experiences or trauma.
My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable to talk openly at your own pace.
I am dedicated to you feeling validated and listened to in sessions, and we will work collaboratively towards your goals in order for you to get the most out of therapy.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call to help you decide if I'm the right fit for you. It's a chance to briefly talk through what's bringing you to therapy and ask any questions, with no pressure to commit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced mental health professional with over 25 years of working in the NHS, supporting individuals across a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My background includes roles as a Mental Health Nurse, as well as a qualified CBT (BABCP-accredited) and EMDR therapist.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (adults), evidence-based approaches that can help you understand what's happening and begin to feel more in control. I work with adults, children, and young people experiencing anxiety disorders, trauma, OCD, stress, phobias, and depression, offering therapy in person in Kettering or online across the UK.
I am fully accredited with the BABCP.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
