About me

I am a qualified Integrative therapist, published author and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As an Integrative Therapist, I take a flexible approach and work with clients as the unique individuals they are. I trust in the organic process of therapy and I can offer a creative and dynamic integrative practice.

No matter what therapeutic orientation is used the foundation is key for the relationship to grow and for clients to feel safe to explore deeper parts of themselves. I work in an integrative way to ensure that sessions are tailored to the individual by having the correct and appropriate interventions for each client. Therapy, after all, is recognising that each client is different. Issues brought to therapy may be similar or the same but how clients experience them will be very different. Counselling is taking a walk into your past, emotions, pain and distress to uncover the root cause of what brings you to therapy.

I offer Supervision, Supervision is an alliance in which people that work in a helping capacity can gain access to a safe place to explore their caseload. It’s a place to seek out a fresh vision on the work you do and validate that the work you are doing with clients, patients or service users is safe, ethical and professional. Supervision can be a place for which helping professionals can seek refuge to find guidance in what can feel overwhelming with a lack of control. Through supervision, supervisees can gain perspective by working through each case one by one, calming the storm, introducing clarity and challenge to further enhance your practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
