About me

Hello, I’m Jamie, a MBACP Integrative Counsellor. It's my passion to help individuals like you navigate life's twists and turns, regardless of where you're coming from. I firmly believe that counselling isn't just for a select few—it's for everyone seeking a brighter, more balanced path forward.

Whether you're taking your first steps into counselling or you're simply curious about what it entails, I'm here to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. There's something incredibly powerful about being heard and understood, and I'm committed to walking alongside you as we unravel the threads of your journey together.

My own journey into counselling was sparked by personal experiences that taught me the importance of seeking support when life gets overwhelming. I get it—life can throw some curveballs, and sometimes we need a little extra help to get back on track and make sense of things. That's where I come in. I'm here to offer guidance, support, and a listening ear as you navigate the ups and downs of life.

I want you to know that counselling isn't a quick fix—it's a journey. It takes time, patience, and commitment to cultivate a greater sense of well-being. But trust me, the journey is worth it. Whether you have a specific goal in mind or you simply want to feel more grounded and resilient, I'll work with you to create a personalised plan that meets your needs and honour your unique journey.

I can work with adults and young people - face to face/ online and I even offer walk and talk sessions.

So, if you're ready to take the next step towards a brighter tomorrow, I'm here to help. Reach out, and let's embark on this journey together. Your well-being is worth it.

For your piece of mind I am registered with the BACP and abide by their ethical framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
