About me

I offer a confidential space for adults who wish to explore the difficulties they are experiencing in their lives. You may be feeling anxious, low, struggling in your relationships, grieving a loss, or finding yourself affected by experiences from earlier in life.

As a Jungian psychodynamic psychotherapist, I am interested in how our past experiences continue to influence our present lives, often in ways we are not fully aware of. I also have a particular interest in how dreams, symbols, imagination and desires can offer insight into our inner world. Therapy provides a space where we can think together about these experiences and the meanings they may hold.

I do not believe there are quick answers to emotional suffering. Instead, I see psychotherapy as a place where we can take time to think together about your experience, allowing ourselves to become curious about what it may be communicating and what it might reveal about your inner world. Through this process, it is often possible to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and to find new ways of relating to yourself, to others and to life.

Whatever brings you to therapy, we will work together at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your individual experience.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained in Jungian and psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) and am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).

Alongside my private practice, I have worked for fourteen years within an NHS specialist therapeutic community, supporting people experiencing complex emotional and relational difficulties. This experience has profoundly shaped my understanding of the importance of the therapeutic relationship and continues to inform my clinical work.

I maintain my practice through regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. I also hold professional indemnity insurance and am committed to providing psychotherapy in an ethical, thoughtful and reflective way.

I offer psychotherapy once or twice a week, either on a short-term or open-ended basis, depending on your needs. Sessions are available in person in Hampton, Greater London, and Headley, Epsom, as well as online.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
