About me

I am a registered member of the BACP and an integrative counsellor with a person-centred approach at the heart of my work.

I offer a calm, reflective and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I believe that each person has a unique way of experiencing the world, and therapy offers the opportunity to better understand that, make sense of difficulties, and reconnect with your own inner strength.

I work with adults across a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. While I have particular experience supporting clients through grief and trauma, I welcome anyone who feels they would benefit from having space to talk and reflect.

My approach is collaborative and client-led. Alongside a person-centred foundation, I may draw on integrative ideas such as narrative, existential and transactional analysis where helpful, always working in a way that feels right for you.

I offer sessions online across the UK, as well as in person in Lincoln.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Counselling at the University of Lincoln. My training is grounded in person-centred therapy, with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, empathic and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.

Alongside this core approach, I have undertaken additional training in narrative and existential therapies. These approaches allow for a deeper exploration of how we make sense of our lives, our relationships, and the challenges we face, helping to bring greater understanding and perspective to difficult experiences.

I have also completed specialist training in working with trauma, including the Rewind Technique for trauma and PTSD. This provides a structured and sensitive way of working with traumatic memories, supporting clients to process experiences without becoming overwhelmed.

In practice, I work integratively, meaning I draw on these different approaches where helpful, always guided by what feels most appropriate for you as an individual.

Alongside my private practice, I have experience working as a counsellor with the Lincolnshire Centre for Grief and Loss, supporting clients experiencing bereavement, trauma and emotional distress. I also work as a school counsellor with CASY, which has strengthened my ability to work sensitively and adaptively with a wide range of emotional and psychological needs.

I remain committed to ongoing professional development, regularly engaging in further training in areas such as trauma-informed practice, suicide awareness, and emotional wellbeing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

My standard fee is £45 per 50-minute session.

I also offer reduced rates for block bookings, providing a more accessible option for ongoing work. These can be discussed during an initial conversation.

Sessions are payable in advance to confirm your appointment and can be paid via bank transfer or secure payment link.

I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions and see whether this feels like the right space for you.

I understand that accessing therapy can sometimes be financially challenging, and I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces where needed. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss this further.

Further information

Alongside my counselling work, I have a strong interest in community wellbeing and the role of connection in supporting mental health. This has included working in community settings and contributing to initiatives that aim to make mental health support more accessible and understood.

I believe that therapy is not about being “fixed”, but about being supported to better understand yourself, your experiences, and the way you move through the world. It can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to reconnect with a sense of direction and inner stability.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to offer a steady and supportive first point of contact. If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
