About me

I offer a non-judgemental space to reflect on your life; to approach what may have previously been too painful to acknowledge, or unheard until now. I work in an existential-phenomenological way, drawing on philosophy and lived experience over diagnosis or theory, and I bring the same attention to the body as to the mind: how we carry, breathe and move through what we're facing often tells us as much as words do.

I've supported clients through bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loneliness, and questions of meaning and identity, among others. I offer a free 30-minute introductory call so we can see how it feels to work together before committing further.

I offer sessions in Hackney, as well as remotely.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Master's degree in Psychotherapy & Counselling from Regent's University, London, a world-renowned training centre for existential psychotherapy.

I have worked with clients from a huge range of backgrounds varying in age, class, sexuality and gender. I have experience working in bereavement therapy services in London, as well as in the NHS and charity sector.

For many years I have also volunteered for a drug harm-reduction service as a chemist, as well as for services delivering psychological support to people who are in the midst of challenging experiences following the use of psychoactive or psychedelic drugs. Please note that although in my work I can support with the integration of these experiences, I do not as a therapist work with those under the influence of drugs at the time of sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
