About me
Welcome! I am James, a dedicated and compassionate therapist specializing in OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) and anxiety disorders. With extensive training in both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt Therapy, I am equipped to provide a comprehensive and tailored approach to your mental health needs.
My Approaches:
-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): This evidence-based approach focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviours. Through CBT, I help clients develop practical skills to manage and reduce their symptoms, fostering long-term change and resilience.
-Gestalt Therapy: This humanistic approach emphasizes self-awareness and personal responsibility. Gestalt Therapy encourages clients to explore their experiences in the present moment, promoting a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotions.
Specialisations:
As an OCD and anxiety specialist, I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate these often debilitating conditions. My personal experience with OCD and anxiety provides me with a unique perspective and empathy. I understand the overwhelming nature of these disorders, and I am here to offer support, guidance, and effective strategies to manage and overcome them.
Why Choose Me?
Having experienced OCD and anxiety first-hand, I know what it's like to feel trapped by intrusive thoughts and intense worry. This personal journey has fuelled my passion for helping others who are struggling with similar issues. I bring not only professional expertise but also genuine understanding and empathy to my practice.
What to Expect:
In our sessions, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where you are encouraged to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Together, we will work on developing coping mechanisms, building resilience, and fostering a greater sense of self-awareness. My goal is to empower you to take control of your mental health and lead a fulfilling life.
Take the first step towards healing today. Reach out to me for a free, absolutely no obligation, consultation, and let's work together to create a brighter, more balanced future.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
