BA (Hons) Degree, MBACP Accredited

About me

I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy and over 13 years of experience. I am an accredited and experienced counsellor, offering both short-term and long-term therapy for adults and teenagers.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a safe, supportive space to explore our thoughts and feelings. I provide a confidential, non-judgmental environment where you can gain understanding, find clarity, and develop practical tools to manage stress, anxiety and life’s difficulties.

Whether you’re looking to work through specific challenges or simply want a place to be heard and understood, counselling can help you find meaning, insight and a greater sense of balance in your life.

Counselling will provide you with a supportive environment to help you gain some meaning and understanding around whatever difficulties you are going through in your life right now and help you to find some clarity.

essentially our sessions will involve exploring your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and patterns as it is only with increased understanding and self-awareness that we are able to take charge of our lives, make positive choices and to live in a more fulfilling way.

I am an integrative counsellor which means I use different approaches tools and techniques that I feel suit your individual needs to give you the best possible experience in counselling. I also like to incorporate meditation and mindfulness techniques into sessions, helping clients develop calm, focus, and practical tools to manage stress and anxiety.

For younger clients, I often incorporate creative and expressive art therapy, helping them engage, express themselves, and process emotions in a way that feels natural and meaningful.

I work with a varied range of issues such as Relationship issues, anxiety, anger management, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, bereavement, parenting and many more.

I attend regular supervision with a registered supervisor.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
