About me
If you are looking at my profile then you may be anxious, stressed, worried, feeling down, overthinking, experiencing panic or all of this and totally overwhelmed and not sure which way to turn . You may be a couple having relationship difficulties and not able to communicate with each other without it becoming an argument? When life gets confusing, we sometimes need someone to listen to us and more importantly, hear us; to help us to see things from a different perspective. I can offer you an non judgemental opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings, in a confidential setting, recognising the uniqueness of your individual values, belief system and cultural background.
My extensive experience includes working as an NHS counsellor, managing a counselling service and working as a Senior Psychotherapist with young mums (mums-aid.org). Additionally, I am a clinical counselling supervisor of other counsellors and mental health workers.
I have worked for various counselling charities, providing counselling for depression & anxiety, panic attacks, relationships difficulties, bereavement, trauma, sexual abuse and phobias. I specialise in trauma and neuro diversity (ADHD, ASD, Autism)
As an integrative counsellor, it has also proved useful for clients to challenge negative thinking and to take control of their lives using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which is a way of seeing things from a positive perspective in order to make changes and move forward. I can support you to overcome negative blocks and gain fresh perspective to help you achieve your goals and aspirations.
I am an Accredited and Registered member of the BACP (The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am also a counselling Supervisor.
I am a registered provider of counselling and psychotherapy for Healthcare Insurance companies.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
