About me

The recently enforced restrictions and changes to our lives have caused heightened levels of anxiety, depression and, possibly, bereavement/grief for many of us or are you are affected by relationship issues, panic disorder, Post-traumatic stress (PTSD), mental or physical abuse, phobias, feelings of sadness, or family issues?

Face-to-face, online or telephone Psychotherapy and Counselling may have been suggested to you as an effective way to help you to deal with these plus a wide range of other issues.

As a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I have gained a broad range of experience of working with young people and adults. As a qualified Relate Counsellor, I am also experienced in couples counselling. This means that I can help you by offering confidential talking therapy, away from external pressure, and at your pace. This therapy can be either at my private therapy rooms or by telephone/online. This allows me to tailor counselling to an individual’s needs within the BACP's Ethical Framework.

I currently practice from my private therapy rooms in Alcester which have disabled facilities, allocated parking spaces and are easily accessible by car and bus. I am also able to practise face-to-face in the Bromsgrove, Redditch, Alvechurch, and Stratford-upon-Avon areas. As a qualified cyber-Counsellor, I can offer these services nationally.

If you would like to discuss how I could help you, please contact me by email at info@jtwcounselling.co.uk or via telephone on 07826 572824. and I will contact you within 24 hours for us to assess potential areas to work in.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Key details

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
