About me

Hello. I'm Jack, a BACP-registered therapist working with adults in London, on the Kent coast, and online.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, or overwhelming thoughts and feelings. Or perhaps life appears to be going well on the surface, but something no longer feels right. You may feel stuck in repeating patterns, uncertain about the future, or increasingly disconnected from yourself and those around you.

I offer dedicated time and space away from other people's needs, expectations, and demands. Sessions are conversational and collaborative, and people often tell me they feel at ease. You don't have to perform or have all the answers. Together, we explore what it's like to be you and try to make sense of the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped your life.

I bring warmth, honesty, and thoughtful challenge to our work, approaching your experience with curiosity rather than trying to fix or judge it. Over time, this can bring greater understanding and more freedom in how you relate to yourself, to others, and to the choices you face.

If this resonates, you're welcome to get in touch. We can arrange an initial call to talk about what has brought you to therapy and whether working together feels like a good fit.

I currently work in private practice, offering in-person sessions in London and on the Kent coast, as well as online. I have completed several hundred hours of supervised clinical work across two placements in the South East of England and continue to volunteer with a low-cost counselling service.

Before training as a therapist, I spent over two decades working in the music and creative industries as a musician, songwriter and producer. This experience continues to inform my understanding of creativity, identity, collaboration, uncertainty and change.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and my core counselling training was BACP-accredited. I am currently completing advanced psychotherapy training and working towards UKCP registration.

Personal therapy has also been an important part of my training and development, giving me first-hand experience of what it means to sit in the client's chair.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

My approach is integrative, humanistic and relational, with an interest in how early relationships, unconscious patterns and unspoken expectations can continue to shape our experience in the present.

I work relationally, which means the relationship we develop is an important part of the therapy itself. Together, we can pay attention to thoughts, feelings, relationships and recurring patterns, as well as to what emerges between us in the room.

I don't impose a fixed framework or expect you to arrive with a clearly defined goal. Some people come with a particular difficulty they want to explore; others simply know that something in life no longer feels right. Our work is guided by what you bring and develops at a pace that feels manageable.
