About me

Seeking support isn't a sign that you've failed. More often, it's a sign that you've been carrying more than anyone realises for far too long.

Many of the people I work with aren't looking for someone to "fix" them. They want to understand why they think, feel or react the way they do. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected or simply not like yourself anymore, therapy offers the opportunity to slow things down, make sense of what's happening and begin moving forward with greater clarity.

As a person-centred therapist, I believe that lasting change doesn't come from being told what to do. It comes from feeling understood, accepted and safe enough to explore what's really going on beneath the surface. My role isn't to give you all the answers. It's to help you discover the answers that already make sense for you.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years leading and supporting people in the workplace. During the pandemic, I realised I wanted my work to be centred on helping people in a more meaningful way, so I retrained as a counsellor. That experience still shapes how I work today. I know how easy it is to lose sight of yourself while trying to meet everyone else's expectations, and how difficult it can be to ask for help.

Clients come to me for many different reasons, including anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, low self-esteem, depression, addiction, childhood experiences that continue to affect adult life, and the challenges that neurodiversity can bring to individuals and families. While the reasons people seek therapy vary, the process often begins in the same place: trying to better understand yourself with kindness rather than criticism.

Above all, I aim to offer a warm, thoughtful and genuine space where you don't have to pretend to have everything figured out. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you make sense of your experiences and build a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
