Ian Jasper NCS ACCRED - Garage Counselling
I have been a counsellor now for over 2 years and worked with people of all ages from 13 to 80, with many different reasons for coming to counselling. I am currently working with clients face to face in my own private room, or via telephone or video, depending on what works best for them. I use an integrative approach to my work employing different ideas and techniques from the psychodynamic, person centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt approaches and tailor our sessions accordingly.
I have learnt the best solution is to give my clients the space and time to explore (at their own pace) what has brought them to counselling. In a safe, calm and controlled space I can help them find the confidence to work through feelings of anxiety, grief, loneliness or depression.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society. I have a NCS Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and ABC levels 2 & 3 in Counselling Skills. I completed over 100 hours of counselling to gain my Level 4 and since setting up in my private practice have over 300 hours of client work.
I have worked with clients dealing with anxiety, stress, grief, loss, depression, loneliness and a myriad of other personal problems and helped them to confront, overcome and move forward with renewed confidence.
