About me

I UKCP-registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and I offer therapy sessions for adults from 16+ years, especially for anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and neurodivergence, as well as supporting clients through personal and relationship issues.  I am based in the South Side of Edinburgh and offer therapy online from anywhere in the world. In sessions with me, you will experience a deeply respectful space of compassion, presence, and curiosity. The cost is £65 per session.

How can psychotherapeutic work with me make a difference?

If you feel overwhelmed by ongoing cycles of heightened stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as loneliness and trauma. I will support you towards healing, transformation, and wholeness.

Do you want to feel less anxious and more connected?

In therapeutic sessions with me, I will support you to attend to challenging emotions and restrictive thought patterns so that you can deal more effectively with them in your daily life.

I will support you to become less bound by self-limiting patterns, such as excessive thinking, restrictive emotions, and self-defeating behaviors.

What might sessions look like with me?

I will work alongside you to develop a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, respect, and understanding. I am interested in supporting clients through presence and dialogue. I also may utilize a range of supports from attending to the breath, body, and imagination.

Further information

Gestalt Therapy:

My main approach to counselling is gestalt therapy which at its core upholds the value of the therapeutic relationship as a key aspect for healing and growth. The gestalt emphasis is on collaboration and working with immediate experience. The approach is holistic and draws upon a range of methods to meet our embodied self more fully, and to enable us to become more accepting of ongoing emotional and behaviour patterns and our responses to environment. Gestalt therapy informs my capacity to work with each client at the level of their experience, while staying attuned to the potential impact of their past in the present.

Contemplative Self-Inquiry: At certain points in life we might be drawn to pursue a deeper interest in who we are beyond our everyday concerns and personal history. I draw upon knowledge systems both ancient and modern to explore with compassion the relatedness of mind, body and awareness. I use resources from the worlds philosophical and wisdom traditions, especially the Vedic system, to support clients who are interested in gaining more insight and a wider perspective on their lives. My life long study and journey of self exploration informs the basis of my approach to deep self-inquiry
