About me
Hi, I'm Honor. I work with clients who have been experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, relationships, gender and sexual difficulties. I believe each and every client is unique and I feel strongly about providing a space where you feel seen and understood. I am passionate about helping you work towards achieving your own personal goals as well as providing a safe space where you feel comfortable to express yourself and continue your journey to healing. I can support you to change unwanted behaviours that might be impacting your life negatively.
I take a humanistic approach and blend different approaches and interventions to support my clients. I integrate cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred and attachment-based concepts to support my clients, guided by my client's wishes and needs in therapy.
I appreciate that beginning therapy can be daunting, and I believe a fundamental aspect of therapy is developing a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, respected and supported. I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone - this is an opportunity to see if I'm the right therapist for you and to ask any questions you might have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am currently completing my Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London. I have been supporting individuals with OCD, depression, anxiety and other mental health difficulties for over 4 years and been practising as a therapist for over 2 years. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have a wide range of experience and education.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
