About me

"Holly was the first counsellor that actually listened to me instead of telling me what to do, thank you"

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or alone? Perhaps you have tried working things through yourself but now it's time for someone else to step in and support you?

By gaining insights into your experiences and how you see the world, we can work together to find a way forward and reconnect you with the life you want to lead. Each session is tailored to what feels right for you, offering space to reflect, explore and support your journey.

I see adults and children for all kinds of difficulties. For children this may be school anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, gender questions, friendship struggles. For adults, I cover a wide range of topics, anxiety, trauma, grief, neurodiversity. Whatever feels important to you we can look at together in a quiet, safe environment.

I have a keen interest in neurodiversity, I live in a neurodiverse home with first hand experience of children and adults navigating the neurotypical world and the difficulties this poses. Perhaps you are on an endless waiting list for a diagnosis and need some support? I have navigated this myself and understand the stress around waiting and then beyond diagnosis. What next?

My counselling face-to-face appointments are held in a private, tranquil rural setting with views of the Wrekin, offering plenty of off-street parking.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
