About me
A warm welcome, I'm Helen.
I'm a pluralistic counsellor, and i focus on supporting people who are navigating self-doubt, burnout, anxiety, the demands of masking, rejection sensitivity dysphoria, perfectionism, relational trauma, or cPTSD; many of whom are autistic and/or ADHD - or quietly wondering if they might be.
I'm always seeking to deepen my awareness of the many challenges faced by neurodivergent people, particularly within educational, healthcare, and workplace settings. Although everyone's experiences will be unique, various themes often centre around miscommunications and a lack of understanding in relation to the sensory needs common within autism. Being on the receiving end of bullying, micro-aggressions, harassment and abuse can lead to feelings of isolation, invalidation, rejection, and hopelessness.
If you're looking for a safe and neurodivergence-affirming space to explore issues that are troubling you, or to simply better understand yourself, your needs, and your preferences, please reach out.
I currently offer online (over Zoom) and telephone counselling.
