About me

Welcome
When my life was turned upside down — I was widowed at 43 — I discovered first hand how valuable the right support can be. Finding someone to listen, understand, and guide me made a profound difference, helping me rebuild my life in a positive and meaningful way.

This experience inspired me to train as a counsellor, so that I can offer others the same understanding and support during their own difficult times.

About My Practice
I work with both individuals and couples, either face to face or online.
I’m based in Fife, and if you’re within travelling distance, we can meet in my log cabin, a calm and dedicated counselling space.
If we meet online, I will connect with you from this same space via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, ensuring a consistent, private, and professional environment.

The number of sessions we have together will depend on your individual needs and the complexity of the issues we are exploring.

How I Work
In our sessions, I will be guided by you — moving at your pace.
I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely.
Together, we will work towards building resilience, improving emotional balance, and finding ways to move forward that feel right for you.

Areas I Work With
I work with adults (18+) and couples, offering support with a wide range of experiences and challenges, including:

Anxiety and Depression
Trauma and PTSD
Bereavement and Loss
Rape, Sexual Assault, and Childhood Abuse
Domestic Abuse

Substance Misuse
Relationship and Family Difficulties
Infidelity, Communication, and Rebuilding Trust
Loss of Emotional or Physical Intimacy

Therapeutic Approaches

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) – a practical, goal-focused approach to help you create positive change and achieve your future aims.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
