About me
Let’s be honest life can be hard. Is anxiety getting in the way of who you want to be? Do you have trauma from your past that is robbing your future? Do you feel like you have lost track of who you are, where you are going or wish things could be different? I can help you.
We all need to take time for ourselves to find our way back on track. But you don't have to face this alone. I can provide a safe, confidential and non judgemental space for you to explore you.
Taking the first step is hard, but you can do hard things. If not now, then when?
About Counselling and CBT
CBT is about working with thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Exploring the relationships between the three can be a powerful enlightening journey. This can help you overcome difficulties in your life. We can work in the here and now looking a current difficulties and giving you tools and techniques to help now. We can also explore the formation of beliefs and how the past may be playing out today.
We will work together exploring the difficulties you are facing and how you would like things to be. I will work with you to achieve your goals at a pace that suits you.
About EMDR
Emdr stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is a treatment for trauma and uncomfortable memories. The use of bilateral stimulation, helps the brain process memories and dissipate them. This can allow you to move forward without events in your past haunting your future.
It is a powerful scientifically proven psychotherapy to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives. Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) EMDR therapy is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
